He has worked in institutions like Hinduja Hospital , Bombay Hospital , Saifee Hospital , Tata Memorial etc. Presently, he is heading our Nuclear Medicine Department and Thyroid clinic at Riddhivinayak Cardiac and Critical Centre.<br /> <br />The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know. </span></span><span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is. </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu): </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications). </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach.. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).. <br /> <br />3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method. </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.* </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> <br /></span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption. </span></span></strong><span style="font-size: large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 18pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: large; color: #c20000; font-family: Comic Sans MS;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 18pt; color: #c20000; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><br />6.. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.</span></span></strong><span style="font-size: x-large; font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 24pt; font-family: Arial;"><br /> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> Some knew about the red <br />light on cars, but not the *77.<br />It was about 1:00p.m. In the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up <br />behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's <br />parents have always told her never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc. <br /><br />Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called *77 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was <br />an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher <br />checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">- Her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way. <br /> <br />Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked <br />car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and <br />tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes. <br /> <br />I never knew about the *77 Cell <br />Phone Feature, but especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going to a safe <br />place. <br /><br />*Speaking to a service representative at ** Bell ** Mobility confirmed that <br />*77 was a direct link to State trooper <br />info so, now it's your turn to let your <br />friends know about *77. <br /><br /><br />You may want to Send this to <br />every woman (and man) you know. It may save a life.<br /><br /><br />This applies to ALL 50 states.<br /><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p>

Then, when I looked over and saw you put the price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all right."</span></p>
</div>
<div>
<p class="ecxEC_EC_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 18pt; color: navy; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';">"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.</span></p>

This one caught me by surprise. Over the last month I became a<span><span> </span>victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it</span><span><span> </span>couldn't happen to you or your friends. </span></strong></p>
<div>
<div><strong><span> Here's how the scam works: Two very good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are putt ing your purchases into the trunk. They both start <span style="color: navy;">clean</span>ing your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look. </span></strong> <strong><span>When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say No and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the</span></strong><span><strong><span> </span></strong></span><strong><span>way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet. </span></strong></div>
</div>
<div>
<div><strong><span> I had my wallet stolen June 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, & 24th. Also July 1st & 3rd, Twice on the 8th, 12th, 15th and 23rd, three times last Monday and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your friends to be careful. </span></strong></div>
</div>
<div>
<div><strong><span> </span></strong><strong><span><br /><strong><span> P.S. <span class="yshortcuts" style="cursor: hand; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed;">Wal-Mart</span> has wallets on sale for 2.99 each I found cheaper ones for $1.99 at <span class="yshortcuts">K -Mart</span> and bought them out. Also, you never will get to eat at <span class="yshortcuts" style="cursor: hand; border-bottom: #0066cc 1px dashed;">McDonalds</span>. Ive already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth to Home Depot.<br /><br /><br />Please Be Careful :-)<br /></span></strong></span></strong></div>
