Dear Fellow Pet Owners:
Something you may not be aware of, the FDA is suppose to keep Us & our Animals (pets) safe, but they're failing at their job. Hundreds of dogs have died due to the greedy corporations and their need for money, regardless of whom they may hurt or murder. Even the AKC isn't with out fault.
Did you know that it is not mandatory for companies to list where a product is made or produced? The FDA encourages companies to be honest, but there are no fines,if they neglect to put on packagaing where a treat is made. This is how hundreds of dogs have become sick and have died (even a few cats too). Treats made in China have continued to sicken and kill pets since 2007. The FDA says they put out warnings on the news (I've never seen them, until about three weeks ago), and on their website, (whoopty fuckin' doo). Maybe, they should have thought, about putting the warnings on the treats packaging, or on the store shelves, where the treats were sold. But then this would hurt sales and in America, apparently $$$ is more important than lives. I've lost three dogs to this horrible epidemic, along w/hundreds of others who have lost their pets, yet, the FDA still allows products from China to be sold and on store shelves.
There were several products that were "voluntary recalled" but those companies, Waggin Train, Milo's Kitchen & Canyon Creek,(all which have been filed against in a class action lawsuit, the media, failed to mention that three weeks ago) stated they recalled their products due to "choking hazzard" not true. These products, were recalled, because of an illegal antibiotic was found in the jerky treats, a chemical illegal to use on US shores. When those products were removed from store shelves (other treats that were made in China stayed)...still many dogs were dying. Finally, people started to read labels, but when the packaging doesn't have where a product is made, people are "duped" into believing, that it's made in America (USA) not so...The companies that removed their product, didn't destroy it, NooOoo, they sent/shipped it, onto unsuspecting pet owners in Europe. The Europeons have no idea about the number of dogs (& cats) who were sickened and later died, because no one told them... Until Now!
You wonder where they AKC falls into all of this don't you? The American Kennel Club, (most people believe, they are just a registry), but they also sell merchandise (yes,they are listed as a non-profit, how exactly does that work?). Well they're selling treats that are made in China, also. This is disturbing, because, they claim "We are more than champion dogs. We are the Dogs Champion" maybe to an early death, if you feed their treats. If they were truly the Dogs Champion they wouldn't have sold, or put their stamp of approval on treats made/manufactured in China. Or, like I suggested, they recall their damned poisoned treats, and issue a warning on their website... Yea, those letters and emails have fallen on deaf ears.
Makes you wonder just exactly what are these companies/corporations going to do if they keep killing off their clientel...obviously, money is over riding their fucking thought process... Is it really wise, to kill off your customer base? Worse marketing strategy ever... but that's what happens when $$$ is more important than lives!
The FDA is neglecting at doing their job. Why wouldn't they, when the head of the FDA use to be the CEO of MONSANTO, before that he headed up the EPA, and the USDA when thousands of dogs died, as a result of the canned food recall of 2007, when melamine was shipped in from, "oh my," of all places, fucking, China!
Please check your pet's labels, and warn others of the FDA's failure to due their damn job! It may just save a life, your friends & families pet's lives, and save you or your friends & families, hearts from breaking, and numerous costly vet bills.... My dogs all died of renal failuer, and malabsorbtion issues. They looked like I was neglecting them, they looked starved. They weren't, and I'm about to lose the most important dog of them all, my Service Dog of 12 years, to the same horrible, slow death. He has a severely damaged liver, and is no longer in remission, from renal failure.
No one should ever have to loose a dog, to another's greed...they are innocent victims, they have no voice, but we, their owners do. Please join the fight, and tell the FDA to do their fucking job. If any of us failed at doing our job we would be fired...the same should happen to the FDA!
Remember, if the package doesn't say where the products is made, it is made in China...and they are apparently, hell bent, on killing our pets...don't think we won't be next. The USDA just signed a trade agreement w/China to have our chicken shipped to China to be processed, WTF???? It's not only "just a dog" issue anymore, we are the next, on the FDA's fuck up list!
