Music from the heart

This is my toast to AB III by Alter Bridge.

As some of you may know. I'm very passionate about my musical choices.

This album is amazing, thought so from first play through. but since then, as things un-folded in my life, I could relate to a lot of what was being sung, and to me, that just makes it all the better.

For a band to write songs that touch you on an emotional level above your usual musical taste is a rare thing these days, and something Alter Bridge have always done.

To me, one of the best bands around these days, and one of my all time favourites.

Plus some killer guitar solos, can never argue with that.

And Justice for All Pictures, Images and Photos Taken from wikipedia; …And Justice for All is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. Elektra Records released the album on August 25, 1988. This is the first Metallica studio album to feature bassist Jason Newsted, since it is the first after the tragic death of the group's former bassist Cliff Burton. The album's dark subject material, featuring references to injustice in the law system, limited freedom, war, insanity and hate, is accompanied by the most complex song structures to this date in Metallica's discography. The album is also noted for its near lack of bass guitar and dry production and therefore has been called a "slightly flawed masterpiece and the pinnacle of Metallica's progressive years" by allmusic.com's reviewer.[3] The front cover depicts the statue of Lady Justice cracked and bound by ropes, with both of her scales filled with dollars and both of her breasts exposed. The words "…And Justice for All" are written in graffiti to the right. The cover is made by Stephen Gorman after a concept by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.[4] The album has sold over 8 million copies in the US alone according to the RIAA and was the best selling Metallica record upon its release. Metallica released four singles from …And Justice for All, "Eye of the Beholder", "Harvester of Sorrow", "…And Justice for All" and "One". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…And_Justice_for_All_(album) for the rest I know this isn't quite right, but I'm gonna upload them properly and update this.

Alter Bridge - Blackbird

Photobucket Taken from Wikipedia; Blackbird (2006-present) The band started recording their second album in mid 2006. In 2007, with Universal Republic, Alter Bridge released their second album, Blackbird, on October 9th, 2007. The first single from the album, "Rise Today", was released on July 30th, 2007 and was used as the theme song for WWE Unforgiven 2007. On January 2, 2008, "Watch Over You" was officially named the second single for Blackbird. After spending a short amount of time on the rock charts, "Watch Over You" was announced to being less promoted to rock charts due to being released to pop stations everywhere in the later part of April, making it the first Alter Bridge song released to pop radio. "Before Tomorrow Comes" was announced as the third single on April 1st, 2008 and is to be released to radio airplay in the later part of April. The video for "Watch Over You" was released in mid-September 2008. A new version of the video, using clips from VH1's Celebrity Rehab, was released later that month. There is also currently a duet version of the song featuring Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil on the band's MySpace. In addition, the song debuted at #10 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown. Original - Photobucket Re-issue - Photobucket Burnt Offerings is American heavy metal band Iced Earth's third album, released April 18, 1995, by Century Media Records. This album marked the introduction of vocalist Matt Barlow, who many fans consider to be "the voice" of Iced Earth. It is also the only Iced Earth album featuring drummer Rodney Beasley. The final track of the album, Dante's Inferno, is based on the famous epic poem The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. The original album cover is of Lucifer in the Ninth Circle from Gustave Doré's series of engravings based on the work. This album drew both ire and praise at the same time, anger from the European fans who felt betrayed that Iced Earth chose a different path musically, and in contrast, sold much higher in the USA than their previous albums. The arrival of Barlow began bringing influences from power metal, though this album still retained most of the musical identity of thrash metal from the bands previous albums. As with Iced Earth and Night of the Stormrider, the 2001 remastered version has a new cover. Burnt Offerings is said to have been written during a time of turmoil and anger, particularly focusing on a dispute with the band's then record label, Century Media Records. According to interviews with Jon Schaffer, the title track is about the band's struggles with Century Media. (This article or section may contain original research or unverified claims.
