Title: It's all for You Characters: The Ninth Doctor; Rose Tyler; mentions of Jackie Tyler, Mickey Smith, Jack Harkness, Luna Lovegood, Violet Baudelaire, Alice Cullen, Jasper Hale, Edward Cullen, and Bella Swan Pairing: Nine/Rose Rating: G Genre: Romance Word Count: 1,396 Author's Note: This takes place three months after chapter I. Enjoy! Rose sat in the room in her suite on a crisp September afternoon, checking her email and doing research for one of her psychology classes while her suitemates were out at class; hers were already over with for the day. Being the oldest out of all the girls in the suite was an odd feeling for her, but comforting at the same time. It was funny how a year could change her so much, and how much that she could learn about herself in that time. An instant message popped up on the computer screen, causing Rose to stop her research for that moment. A message from somebody that she didn’t know; somebody called “SonicScrewdriver”. SonicScrewdriver (02:05:40 PM): ‘ello, love. An eyebrow raised slightly on Rose’s forehead. There was only person that would have such a screen name, and would call her love, but she was skeptical. She knew better than to trust others right away, especially those who called her ‘love’. KeytoMyHeart (02:05:55 PM): Who is this? Nine pouted slightly as he received Rose’s message. Who else would have used a name like the one that he had. Certainly not Jack, his was IGotaBanana. As a member of faculty, it wasn’t unusual for him to have other students’ instant messaging nicknames as a way of contact. In addition to hers, the Doctor also had her suitemate’s Alice Cullen, Luna Lovegood, and Violet Baudelaire’s handles as well. Alice’s was YouWannaBet; Luna’s was DaydreamBeliever, and Violet’s was DumpsterDiver. SonicScrewdriver (02:06:15 PM): Rose…It’s me. Who else would have a messaging name like mine? KeytoMyHeart (02:06:25 PM): Oh, I don’t know. Maybe a Dalek? LOL. SonicScrewdriver (02:06:35 PM): That’s not funny, Rosie. You know it’s not. KeytoMyHeart (02:06:38 PM): I know, I just wanted to see what you would say. SonicScrewdriver (02:06:43 PM): Well now you know. KeytoMyHeart (02:06:48 PM): So did you do this purposely to distract me from doing research for one of my psychology classes? SonicScrewdriver (02:06:56 PM): Not especially. I’m coming over, though, so you might want to stop researching. We need to start planning. KeytoMyHeart (02:07:05 PM): Start planning for…what, exactly? SonicScrewdriver (02:07:15 PM): Don’t tell me you forgot! KeytoMyHeart (02:09:25 PM): Do you really think I forgot? C’mon now, I thought you knew me better than that. SonicScrewdriver (02:09:40 PM): I know you better than you know yourself, love. You said so yourself. I’ll be over in ten minutes. Love you. KeytoMyHeart (02:09:50 PM): Love you, too. 02:09:55 PM: SonicScrewdriver has signed off Ten minutes later A knock on the door to her suite made Rose jump as she was clasping the TARDIS key around her neck. Dashing out of her room, she smiled as she answered opened the door. “I missed yo-“ Rose started, but was cut off when Nine swept her right off her feet again and shutting the door, carried her back to her room. “Is anybody else here?” the Doctor asked, shutting the door. “No, just me. Everybody else is at class. This is what I get for having a free afternoon until after supper,” she replied, raising a slight eyebrow. “Good, gives us peace and quiet to start our planning.” Rose smiled as Nine sat down on her bed with her sitting down on top of him once again. “You know, I’m going to have to get used to this if you keep carrying around everywhere.” He chuckled at her statement, and smiled at her. “I only do it because I love you,” Nine said, planting a kiss on her forehead. Rose shook her head a little bit, but smiled back at the Doctor. “I know. I love you too.” The Doctor took a quick glance around her room, and noticed a picture that was never there before. “What’s this?” he asked, an eyebrow rose slightly at the portrait as he picked it up from her night stand. “Remember, Jack took that picture of us over the summer?” Rose started. “You weren’t all that happy that he wanted to take it with us in front of the TARDIS, but you put up with him anyways.” Nine nodded. “I’ll never forgive him. I thought for sure that if he took it, the world was going to come to an end right then and there,” he said with a laugh. “But you know that it’s not going to end until five point five billion/apple/twenty-eight,” Rose pointed out. “See, I have been rubbing off on you,” Nine said. “Who else would have remembered the year that the sun expanded and pretty much ate the planet?” It was Rose’s turn to arch an eyebrow slightly at him. “You’re not rubbing off on me,” she said, giving Nine a playful push. “I think it’s the other way around.” He rolled his eyes slightly at her statement. “Not this argument again.” “Who said I was arguing?” “I did cause I love you,” the Doctor answered, holding her tightly. He looked into Rose’s eyes, and gently kissed her lips. Rose pulled away for a moment, and looked at him. “Well I say I’m not because I love you, and this so-called argument is over with,” she retorted before wrapping her arms around Nine’s neck and kissing him back. He broke the embrace after several moments and sat her down on the bed. “We aren’t going to get much planning done if we keep this up,” he said with a wink. “And what, exactly, are we going to plan? We have another year practically before we really have to start worrying,” Rose asked, raising an eyebrow. “Like who you’re going to invite,” Nine said. “Since I’m the last member of my race, I don’t have anybody. All of us, gone in a blink of an eye. No matter. Who’re you going have be there?” he asked, attempting to change the subject. Rose knitted her eyebrows and pondered this for a moment. She hadn’t thought about it, but supposed he was right. It was time for her to start deciding who she wanted there with them to share in the special day. “Well…Mum, of course, but she’d blow a gasket if she found out about this right now. Jack, Luna, Violet, Alice and her boyfriend Jasper, Edward and his fiancée Bella…” she answered. “I think that’s it.” It was the Doctor’s turn to raise an eyebrow. “You’re not going to invite Mickey?” Rose sighed as her mind raced. Mickey was the one that gave up on her, not the other way around. She came to America to not only get an education, but to also find herself, and now that she did, Rose wasn’t sure if she wanted to go back to England. “I guess I will,” she answered with a shrug. “Rose, love. You know you’re not obligated to invite him, right?” This question was answered with a slight nod. “But I think it would be best if he knew that I was going to be happy for the rest of my life,” Rose said, she said, looking over at him. Nine grinned at her. “That’s the Rosie I know and love so much,” he said, caressing her cheek gently. “You know that I’d go to the end of time and back to make sure that you’re happy and taken care of.” She rolled her eyes slightly at the childhood nickname. “Don’t call me that,” Rose said. “You know how much that name annoys me.” “Okay…Rosie,” the Doctor teased. Rose nudged him playfully. “Stop it. I’m serious. I don’t like that name anymore than when Mum called me it years ago.” “Fine…Rosie,” he said, continually teasing her. “Don’t make me use this,” she said, picking up a pillow and holding it like she was about to hit him with it. “You wouldn’t,” Nine dared. “Call me ‘Rosie’ one more time and I will,” Rose stated. “Fine, you win. I won’t ever call you ‘Rosie’ again,” Nine said, taking the pillow out of Rose’s hands and put it back on the bed, laying back on it. She shook her head and smiled. “You’re too much. But I wouldn’t give it up for the world,” Rose said, lying back on the pillow with him. “Good, cause I wouldn’t want you to. In a year’s time, this is going to be all for you, Rose Elizabeth. All for you.” “And you, too,” she smiling at him. “And you too.”
Title: It's all for You Characters: The Ninth Doctor; Rose Tyler; mentions of Jackie Tyler, Mickey Smith, and Jack Harkness. Pairing: Nine/Rose Rating: G Genre: Romance Word Count: 708 Author's Note: This takes place at via the RPG time-line of events at KSU on InsaneJournal. “Love you too, Mum,” a twenty year-old blonde girl said as she walked into her boyfriend’s apartment. “Wondering when you were going to get here,” a man’s voice said, getting up from the couch where he sat to greet her with a kiss on the cheek. “Mum called,” Rose said, hanging up her hoodie. “She wanted to know if I saw you around campus.” The Doctor’s left eyebrow raised a bit. “What’d you tell her?” “Oh, you know the usual. That I was time traveling instead of going to class and doing homework,” she said teasingly, kissing him back on the cheek. “You didn’t. You wouldn’t. Rose! That could put me in danger of losing my job!” She tilted her head slightly to the side, and looked up at him with her brown eyes. “You really think that I’d do that to you?” “I don’t know, Rose. I honestly don’t know about you sometimes,” Nine stated. “You should know me better than that. You are, after all, the only one that trusts me and understands me better than I understand myself,” Rose said softly, innocence in her eyes. Nine sighed and looked down at her, his blue eyes matching her brown ones. “You’re right. I can’t stay mad at you, no matter how hard I try to.” With those words, he swept her off her feet and walked over to the couch, sitting down with her on his lap. Rose smiled at him. “You’re too much sometimes, you know that, right?” she asked, laughing as she tried to move from off of his lap, but failed. “What don’t want me to keep you on my lap?” he asked. “Never said that.” “So you do want me to?” “Never said that, either.” She leaned down, and kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck. The Doctor kissed her back, holding Rose close to him, never wanting to let go. “Anybody ever tell you that you’re good at this?” Rose asked softly, her breath warm on his skin as she rested her head on his shoulder. “Can’t say that anybody ever had, but glad to know that you’re the first to say that,” he replied, stroking her hair gently. A few moments passed by peacefully with Rose laying her head down on Nine’s shoulder, and him holding her. “Doesn’t this feel odd?” she asked. “What?” “Not going off someplace far away and saving the world.” He pondered the statement for a moment before giving his answer. Nine unwrapped her arms from around him, and looked at her square in the eyes. “Rose, I wouldn’t trade our relationship in for all the secrets that the world holds. I love you and that’s all that matters, right?” The young blonde nodded. “I love you too.” “Now, there’s something that I have to tell you,” The Doctor said in a serious tone. Rose raised an eyebrow at him. “Remember when you asked me about if I knew anything about your future?” “Yeah,” she said in a small voice. “I remember.” “I do.” “You do…what, exactly?” “I know about your future. What a future it is.” Her eyebrow rose even higher than it was before. “Tell me.” “We get married,” Nine said. “You become a Time Lady.” Rose’s eyes grew wide as she almost fell over off of the Doctor, but caught her balance. “You’re…you’re serious. You’re not just saying this.” “I am serious, Rose Tyler. You and me, on a beach. Small wedding, it is. Jackie’s there, of course. Mickey too. And Jack. And all of your friends from here.” Rose smiled. “Where is it? When is it?” she asked, a spark of curiosity in her eyes. “In a year and three months from tomorrow, just before you start graduate school,” he whispered in her ear. “On a beach in Mexico. You were wearing a lovely white dress, if I remember correctly. Not too long, strapless, your hair shining in the bright sunlight.” She closed her eyes and imagined just what Nine was describing to her. “It’s beautiful, love. Absolutely beautiful.” He looked at her in the eyes, and gently kissed her lips. “And it’s all for you, because I wouldn’t want to travel the galaxies with anyone else.”
