Woo's blog: "Steph's Musings...."

Today I feel like a complete failure as a parent. My son is not thriving in the first grade and I can't help but take it personal. I do what I can at home. We practice handwriting, math, reading...and at home he's brilliant...but at school, he just doesn't care so he refuses to do any work. I'm at a complete loss for what to do anymore. I've failed him somewhere...I had to sit and listen for an HOUR about how terribly he does any work at school. Not one single assignment in the last few months was done to completion and he got 0/100 on a prep exam for standardized testing. I'll figure it out...I always do...for the meantime, I just wanted to vent a little..whine to an audience that doesn't have a choice.
