I have only been on fubar for an hour, i have a migraine, like rate fan and add me, i come into your lounge whenever i lounge, despite my tooltip showing every lounge except yours.

I had to go pee, all that typing i was doing everywhere else was telepathic typing, and telepathic typing doesn't work in your lounge for some reason

Kids on Cam in Excito Diabolus

(Not Allowed for the Following Reasons)

I'm Pretty sure that Everybody enjoys seeing their friends' kids on cam, giggling, acting goofy, and smacking their parents in the back of their heads with toys.  I know that i enjoy it.

However, Fubar TOS apparently is against it, so as much as i hate to say it, i have to enforce that rule so that Excito Diabolus doesn't get deleted.  

Again, I'd like to say that it is not My Wish to keep kids off of the cams, it is only My Wish to keep Excito Diabolus up and running.  

I'm not saying to avoid getting on cam when your kids are around or to keep your kids out of the room.  It could be as simple as pointing the cam at an angle so that the kids are too short to be seen.  Or at an angle so that you are the only thing between the cam and the wall, maybe.

So, if someone in the lounge tells you that you shouldn't have your kids on the cam with you, they are not doing it to be an asshole to you, they are doing it because, ultimately, it is for the survival of the lounge.

Again, i'm sorry to have to enforce this rule, but that's Fubar's TOS and if anyone wants to protest that rule by going to Fubar, i will gladly come along and voice my opinion as well, although i don't think it'll do any good (even though people are allowed to post pics of their kids).

Greeting in Excito Diabolus

Excito Diabolus is not a lounge like other lounges.  We do not offer nudity on cam to keep our members.  We do not play all the music that the radio plays in order to use the fan-base of the radio to keep our members.  We are a lounge that prides itself on being a good lounge because of the Good People and the Hard Work of the DJs and Greeters.

That means it is That Much Harder Work for us to keep our members, as we are advertising a place that has a smaller Fan-base than the lounges who play everything and/or have cams that will give you a show for your membership.  It is up to the Greeters to keep the people in here.  The More Viewers we have, the Happier the DJs are.  The More People hanging out, the more DJs will want to DJ here.

How to be a Good Greeter in a Place Like Excito

A Good Greeter in a Place Like Excito Diabolus Needs to be Quick to Welcome People into the Lounge.  This doesn't mean to say Hi and go back to your conversation.  This means to make that person feel as if he/she is wanted here.  A person entering the lounge will Leave if he/she isn't spoken to.  Some are more quick to engage in conversation than others, so don't be afraid to *shake them* to get their attention.  It is a good practice to randomly look in the member box at people who are not talking, and speak to them so they will talk.

Speaking to multiple people at once, such as saying "Hi everyone who just came in" is impersonal.  It is much better to speak to  each person individually, so it seems as if you are genuinely interested in speaking to that person.  

Try to give people something to respond to, don't answer a question with "Yes" "No" "cool".  Those things are uninterested answers that do not require a response.  Instead, maybe try answering with a descriptive answer.  Replace the "Yes" with a "Yes, because..." or a more descriptive way that may get a response out of the person.  The more a person talks and opens up, the more likely that person is to stay.

A major killer of the chat in Excito is when a talkative person says "brb i need to shower", and then another person says "yea good idea, i'll go shower too".  That just pulled 2 chatters out of the lounge, so the chat will suffer.  It is a bad time to go away from your keyboard if that just happened.  If you need to go, then by all means, take care of your Real Life stuff.  If it can be postponed until the person comes back, that is better for the lounge.  Once the chat dies, it is hard to recover.  

Cover Eachother.  If a fellow staff member needs to go fix something to eat, cover that person so that they can come back to a chatty lounge.  It is very stressful and boring to come back from eating and there's no chat going on.  We all work hard to keep this place awesome, so to let it all die down because we didn't cover eachother when someone walks away is very frustrating.  If there are 3 greeters in the lounge, and one goes to take a shower, and you decide that you want to go watch tv for an hour or so, you just left a greeter in there by himself.  If it's possible, wait for the person to get back from the shower so that there are more people participating.  This is a team effort, everybody needs to be respected enough to cover eachother's backs.

Another Big Enemy of Excito's Activity Level is the LIKE Button.  Too many times our chat has gone dead and you look in your Feed and you see the greeters/staff Liking People nonstop.  They are just points.  If you are close to leveling, or you have some Bling Activated, then by all means, go level, but please consider how it will affect the Lounge.  We work hard to keep this place alive, please be considerate of our hard work. 

We are not trying to Hire MEMBERS in Excito.  We are hiring STAFF.  This doesn't mean that you have to LIVE HERE.  You can be here once a week, if that's all the time you have.  What we need from you is to Care about the progress of Excito.  This means that if you have Free Time or you are ONLINE, You should be here helping us.  I am not saying to ignore your kids or to call in sick from work.  I'm saying that if you are online, you can be helping, so why not?  We need your help here very badly, we are hiring you with the confidence that you will be a productive staff member, and help us to keep the place alive.  Video Games and Television are our biggest enemies.  People will let us die to play a video game.  That is not what we are hiring Greeters for.  If you are genuinely here to help us, and you have free time to help, we need you :)

We Have Recently Just Opened up After THREE Years of Being Closed Down. We are Fubar's OLDEST 100% Metal Lounge. Excito Diabolus is exactly what it claims to be: 100% Metal Music. Excito Diabolus Staff Privelages are Barely Needed here. We Do Not Ban People UNLESS They Are Considered to be a Danger to the Progress of Excito. If Deleting and Silencing can Solve the Problem, That is what we do. The Biggest Turnoff when it comes to hiring someone as staff is when they ASK FOR STAFF PRIVELAGES. Basically you are asking for the ability to kick someone. Staff Privelages will come once The Lounge Owner Feels that you Deserve them and can handle them based on observing your temperament and your interaction with the other members of the lounge.

Positions Available

We are currently hiring ALL Positions. We Need Greeters, Promoters, and DJs. We Also Need someone who can just help occasionally with a few graphics (rarely needed).

Greeting: Greeters in Excito are not here to say HI to people coming into Excito Diabolus. They are here to MAKE PEOPLE FEEL WELCOME, for no other reason than that they ARE WELCOME. If someone comes into the lounge and feels at home, they are on their way to becoming a new member or possibly even someone who works for Excito. If someone is not talking, they are needing someone to bring them into the conversation. It's good for our Greeters to understand that their job isn't over once that person subscribes or hangs out for 5 minutes. That person needs to feel like he/she is part of the conversation and potentially part of a new home. You never know, that person could be the person that brings in 100 new metalheads. ALL STAFF APPLICATIONS WILL INCLUDE GREETING. You may be busy DJing or Promoting, but ALL EXCITO STAFF WHO CARE ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF THE LOUNGE SHOULD GREET OUT OF SUPPORT FOR THE LOUNGE. Promoters and DJs may bring the people in, but it's the skills of the Greeters that make sure they stay.

Promoting: There is a link in the lounge underneath the Buttons on the left side of the chat. It says CLICK HERE to Earn 100,000 Fubucks. That link will set you on your way to Promote. Right now we are using this system to give people incentive to spread the word. We will HIRE you as a promoter once you have received the 100,000 fubucks on more than one occasion, once we see that Promoting is where you fit in. Promoters also need to be INSIDE THE LOUNGE in order to effectively promote the lounge. When you invite a person to the lounge, they come in and look FOR YOU. If you are not there paying attention, they will most likely feel like they were just pulled in for numbers, and they will leave. ALL POSITIONS SHOULD HELP GREET. I understand that you aren't watching the lounge as much while promoting, but the bouncer will get you anyway if you're promoting too hard. So it's good for a break, and it's good to check and see if your people are coming in. Kick Back, take a break and welcome in your invited members :)

DJing: Our DJs Take Requests Throughout their Set. They need to play NOTHING but metal music, except maybe the occasional comedy file. When i say comedy file, I don't mean a country song that is kinda funny. Or playing the song MY DINGALING. I mean something that is typically NOT MUSICAL, or a Parody File such as a Metal Band singing a Country Song (Aeon - God Gives Head in Heaven.mp3), or a Bud Light Commercial (hilarious). Sometimes People come in and Try to RUN the Playlist. Let them know if you are overwhelmed by calmly referring them to the Questions or Complaints Link by the Media Player. Within that link, it talks about Requesting Music. They should try and be considerate by allowing 15 minutes to go by before making another request. This may change to 20 minutes, in the event that it takes 5 mins to play the song, and a couple more for it to play, then 3-4 mins for it to finish playing. that only leaves about 5-10 mins til their next request. DJs Need to be ON TIME for their shifts. If you are going to be Late, you should contact ME or another DJ to cover for you. It is inconvenient for a DJ to miss a shift without telling someone. That person that is scrambling around to find a DJ may be in a hurry to go somewhere, and by missing your spot without notice, you have stressed their day. For me to say "screw it" and not CARE about whether or not the DJ shows up, that is requiring me to not care about the progress of Excito, and that is not possible for me. :)

Applying For a Position

In order to Apply for a Position at Excito Diabolus, You need to private message Minister Mabus with the following Info:

1) Your Name and other aliases that may be known to Excito Members.

2) The Position you are Applying for.

3) Any Experience you have acquired, either in other lounges or websites, that may help in your ability to perform the job being applied for

4) Lounges you have worked for and may currently be working for.

5) What times of the day you are most active and the times you are least active.

6) If you are applying for a DJ Position, check the DJ Schedule below the chat, and tell us what shifts you are available for, ignoring what shifts are already taken, because those may be subject to change.

While Waiting on a response to your Application, you can help greet in the lounge, so that we know you are here to help.

We are also very low in our activity level since we just reopened. Parking your name in the lounge is very helpful in that it raises our position on the lounge list and makes us more accessible to the people who are lounge hopping. Having your name parked in here is an easy way to help promote the lounge. So park all you can. If you can't, that's fine, but know that it helps a great deal.

RULES

#1: NO Advertising Other Lounges. We Don't Care About LINKS Being Dropped, or Yahoo IMs being Dropped. Just Don't Try To Invite us to Another Lounge.

 #2: No Non-Metal Requests. Rock is NOT Metal! You Are NOT ENTITLED to Hear NONSTOP REQUESTS. Try not to Overwhelm the DJ. Try to keep the requests spaced apart by about 15 minutes to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to make a request. Remember that these DJs are not being Paid to Serve YOU. They are here Voluntarily to make your stay in Excito more Enjoyable. This doesn't mean you will be banned for Requesting a song every 10 minutes. This merely means that the DJ has the right to refuse requests that he/she considers Excessive.

#3: No Heated Disputes in the Lounge. We do not want to hear or participate in any of your negativity. If you have a complaint, Do Not Voice It In The Lounge. Voice it HERE in the comment Section, or take it into SB with the person you are having a problem with. WE WILL NOT BAN PEOPLE FOR YOU NO MATTER WHAT THE REASON.

#4: No Disrespecting Staff. We will treat you with respect as long as you treat us with respect. Our Staff Will follow a procedure when it comes to dealing with problem people. If the person is asked to take his conversation out of the chat and refuses to do so, staff will silence them. If it's YOU who has been silenced, it is because you were told not to continue the conversation in the chat and refused to comply. We do not have to tolerate participants bringing down the mood of the rest of the lounge. We are here to have a good time, and if someone is ruining that, they will not be allowed to speak. If you have a problem with this, please feel free to post a comment HERE in this blog, which will be read by the owner and handled accordingly.

#5: No Harrassing People on Cam. This is not a porn lounge. This is not a Cam-lounge. This is a METAL LOUNGE. The cams are here to give us face-to-face interaction with our members. It's ok to Flirt with the cammers, we are very flirty in Excito. But we are Playful, not Aggressive. When you cross the line from playful into Aggressive Territory, you will be asked to turn down the aggression. If you refuse to comply, you will be in Violation of Rule #4.

#6: No Nudity on the Cams. The Cams are Free For All to Use. WE ARE NOT A PORN LOUNGE. Anyone Caught Exposing Themselves on Cam is subject to be banned with no warning. You may think that it's not a problem, and that nobody will mind, but some people don't feel comfortable with people perving out on someone showing off their body on cam. That's what porn-lounges are for :)
