CONROE, Texas—Traffic was snarled along I-45 northbound in Conroe Wednesday after an excavator on a trailer hit an overpass.

It happened around 9 a.m. at the Wilson Road overpass.
TXDoT officials were forced to close all northbound mainlanes and divert traffic around the problem.
The road was closed until just after 2 p.m.
TXDoT said there was broken concrete on one of the beams, so the debris needed to be removed before the road could re-open
