Have you seen this article or heard about this woman in Seattle Washington? Her name is Jane Balogh and she is 66. She was informed in September that she will not be prosecuted for defrauding elections officials in Seattle, despite having illegally registered her dog, Duncan M. MacDonald, to vote. Balogh, protesting how easy officials have made it for people to vote illegally, put her home phone account in Duncan's name, which is all the proof required for registration, then signed him up, and when an absentee ballot arrived, she went public about her scheme. However, despite the public confession, Duncan continued to be sent official absentee ballots for the two subsequent election cycles. [Seattle Times, 9-6-07] You know, if people can defraud the elections (like in Florida) who’s to say they do not collect on welfare, Social Security and other devices set in place to help those in need that truly need help or are due help. But, since we have all those fraud riddled schemes going on and taking away from these forms of help to the needy…who gets it other then the greedy… I truly believe there is a special place set aside in Hell for those who take from those less fortunate. Don’t quote me on it, I just have that feeling.
