I have the same conflict with my husband everyday.
He feels that ,on top of my full time job, that I should care for the home and prepare all meals. We both work in public safety ,and where his job is more physically draining, mine is mentally draining as a dispatcher at an 8 county coverage area 911 center. I am in a supervisor position,work 12-16hr days sometimes 7 days a week,and i'm up at 3:30am each of those days. He expects me to come home,clean,cook,care for animals,wait on him hand and foot,and then he complains that he is ready for bed and I havent finished my duties. I help him also do our tactical training business. If I am at work and he is off he doesnt do anything at all other than what he wants to do. I am the primary bread winner and pay all but 2 bills (which is just 2 debts of his from before I met him). I constantly argue that he should take on some of the duties. On the rare occasion he may do it ,but I really dont like to have to bitch ,and of course end up being labeled one. am I asking to much? |
