The earth opened out
Into the sky.
That night,
I felt I might
Fall into it,
To entangle myself
In a web of stars
That beckoned to me
With their twinkling fingers.
I felt my own soul expand
Sink into the heavens
Feeling the warmth of you beside me
The crisp air on my face
I felt the world would hold me
For a while
My searching heart
Found a universe in yours
So that I felt I might
Fall into it
And entangle myself
In the world of
Who you are.
