My daughter is 17, a senior in HS with straight A's! She came to me a long time ago & apologized because she couldn't be a nurse...she wants to be a Dr. But then ended up with an auto-immune disease...JRA. She is concerned about continuing her Iv treatments(which have made her feel better & she can function) & going away to college; as well as the amount of schooling involved with her fatigue. She missed a lot of scholarships due to her being in the hospital. I talked to her about becoming a PA (physician's assistant) & step up after treatment is complete. We have a program here local that she can get into. She still is considering to go full force...should I encourage the PA route & keep her close to home or let her loose? |
