She softly whispered
On a beautiful morning
I would love, to once again
Enjoy a walk, out doors
~~*~~
to witness nature at its best
The birds, the bee, butterflies
Hills and streams
Lay down on virgin green grass
And sleep.
~~*~~
I held her soft hand
Still lovely, well manicured
Slowly we strolled
About the soft rolling hills
Of nearby natures beauty.
~~*~~
She starined, to see farther
With sensuous eyes
Now behind tastefully
Chosen glass frames
encasing the loveliness
Of her treasured sapphire eyes.
~~*~~
Strolling within, each other's arms
Stopping here and there
For a gentle, kiss or two
With amazement
She makes my heart, skip a beat.
~~*~~
Stopping for a moment to rest
I sit
On a heavenly, field of clovers
She rest her head, upon my lap.
~~*~~
I caress, her snow white hair
Still full, once golden and silky
Like fields of wheat
Wavering in the breeze.
~~*~~
I caress the beauty
The good Lord, bestowed
Upon her face
Gently, she closes her eyes
Like a tired monarch
Desiring sleep.
~~*~~
I felt her slipping
Passed my loving grasp
As I held her close
Tighter against my breast.
~~*~~
I visioned, her mounting
Between the wings, of pegasus
Like a slow motion dream
On her heavenly flight
Towards
The present flaming sunset.
~~*~~
A tear I feel, on its lonely track
I gently kiss, her sweet lips
As I sigh, a soft goodbye
I too wish for the day
Of my own final sunset.
