Each Time I Close My Eyes
My eyes, mind and heart
can clearly see the view,
each time I close my eyes
this picture forms of you
A burning love for me
shimmering brighter then the stars,
like the sun on the water
I see this in your eyes
Your voice so warm and gentle
reminds me of the sea,
a little rough at times
but never drowning me
Your shoulders, like a horizon
both broad and vast,
willing to ease my burdens
with nothing in return, do you ask
Your touch, is gentle
like a summers breeze
warm, but never brisk
as it caresses me
The brilliance of the sun
I see in your smile,
giving off vibrant rays
that one can see for miles
Although we are apart
a true heart never dies,
for you are always here
each time I close my eyes.
