DDoggyGuardDog for Hire's blog: "Duct Tape or Red Tape??"

So here I am.. a dumb hammer-swinging construction-type dude.... and now, suddenly, I need to deal with TWO different governments, immigration laws, etc. If I want to be with this beautiful Aussie Angel, I am left with two options {hence the title of this blog!!}: A> Pay someone to duct tape her, throw her into a steamer trunk, and bring her to me in the States! or B> Wade through the red tape, and go spend some time in Oz, the LEGAL way!! ~NEVER been good at paperwork, or phone calls, or stuff like that. _HERE'S the rough part: I made a bad choice or two in my younger years, and this has created a load of baggage that is, seemingly, too much to travel with!! _HERE'S where yall come in: I KNOW that out there in Fuland there has got to be a person or two that has dealt with this, works in this field, or that is just a hell of alot smarter than I!!! I(we) could really use some advice, some direction, some tips from experience, that would help us in our venture. I am NOT about to air my dirty laundry in front of all Fuland, but if you ACTUALLY can help, I have no qualms about letting you know the specifics. PLEASE!! Message me, or her, and tell us if you know something that will either make me smile, or put to rest this hope for adventure. btw: here she is again, in case you forgot!!! hell... wouldn't YOU try???

Alanis Morrissette said it best: "Isn't it ironic?? Dontcha think? A little TOO ironic???" Life, "Fate", "God", "Destiny", etc..... whatever you may believe is in control of the cosmos.... LOVES to play cruel jokes!! Just when you are NOT LOOKIN... WHAMMO!!!... that's when it hits you!!! I came to Fubar to find friends, and to have fun. Nothing serious, just lighthearted entertainment, in place of hangin at the bar, after my marriage ended. Well... the fu-bug bit, and I met someone who rawks my world!! Now HERES the sick and twisted part: SHE'S 1/2 WAY AROUND THE DAMN GLOBE!!!! :( yep... I am in the States, and she is an Aussie. I know, right?? Well... despite all common sense, logic, and deductive reasoning skills, we are determined to find a way to make this work!! Stranger things have happened!! We have a meeting planned for late summer/early Autumn (of course, that's US seasons!! boy, does THAT get confusing!!), wherein she is planning on visiting the good ole' USofA. {btw... I consider myself a pretty lucky guy, so if yall end up in her shoutbox, trying to talk her out of this, I AINT gonna be happy!!! :P } eventually... I hope to be able to reciprocate, and make my way to the wonderful land of Oz. It is somewhere that I've ALWAYS wanted to visit, and having a hot blonde tour guide isn't gonna hurt my feelings ONE BIT!!! IF you are still reading this drivel...
