I listen to underground independent hip-hop. Hip-Hop is more than music, it's a culture. The 4 original elements of hip hop are 1. The DJ 2. The MC (Emcee) 3. The B-Boy (Break Dancer) 4. The Graffiti Writer (Aerosol Bomber) In recent years the culture has grown and 2 more contributing arts have become elements of the lifestyle. 5. The Beatboxer 6. The Producer Now don't get the shit twisted with what you have seen on television via commercials, MTV or what you hear on the fucking radio. If you know nothing about Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Grand Wizzard Theodore, Rock Steady Crew, New York City Breakers, Fab 5 Freddy, Phase2, among other pioneers of hip hop, then we probably won't have an understanding on the level of what hip hop has evolved into.
