Shower of horrors!

The events of this morning, typed out quickly. Pardon my horrible writing: I was in the shower, just about to rinse the shampoo out of my hair when motion to my right caught my eye. I turned to see a ferocious looking hairy spider hanging from the top of the window peeping at me. A peeping spider! With its legs this thing was about the size of my palm. I continued, nervously, to rinse my hair while making sure to periodically check on the little pervert. It slowly came down the window as I was finishing rinsing my hair, now within 2 feet of me. I expected it to go the other way because of the “rain” it was heading into, but it continued to inch closer and closer. Now slightly creeped out, and somewhat embarrassed because it was staring at me naked. I decided to go ahead and scrub the rest of me. As I began to soap up it actually made a quick move toward me! But the crazed pervy arachnid made one critical error. The shower spray caught it and washed it into the tub, 8 furry legs of fury then trying desperately to escape this 3 inch deep man made lake. I continued to scrub while keeping a constant eye on my adversary, but revised my plan when it began to get closer. So there I am, quickly trying to scrub the key areas while thinking of George Carlin’s bit about the areas that MUST be cleaned daily (armpits, asshole, crotch, and teeth). As I began the embarrassing process of making sure my mooning instrument was properly sanitary, an evil mixture of current and eight legs, like a row boating team, came right for me. With the terrifying thought of a pissed off perverted spider climbing up my leg, I quickly retreated out of the tub. Standing there outside the tub, cold, wet, and dripping soap I rejoiced in my triumphant escape. Despite the puddle I created on the floor. I soon stepped back in the tub at the other end to rid myself of all that soap, feeling sad for my former enemy as it was stuck, legs spread, on the drain underwater. Since it was a sexual offender spider I decided to give it one last thrill, as I turned my back to it and bent over to rinse the soap from my bum. :P

Am I bad luck?

Amp Energy Drink organized a sign up in which the first 70,000 fans to sign up would have their name on Dale Earnhardt Jr's race car for the race at Talladega this weekend. I was one of the first 70,000 so my name is on the roof......and I wonder if my bad luck is with him. In the first practice today the car suffered engine failure. The team changed engines and got back out for second practice, and this happened:

Plenty of pictures this weekend from a big car show at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. GM is letting folks get an up close look at the Camaro SS, and here's some of the pictures to come out so far.

Pricing has still not been finalized, but you should be able to get your hands on a V8 SS for around $30k, with V6 Camaros starting around $24k.

GM has scheduled a media event for Monday afternoon to release Camaro details and show off the production car, but many of the photos and details were leaked today. Two of the engines have been confirmed. The V6 model will have the LLT 3.6L DI V6 from the Cadillac CTS pushing 296 horsepower. The 6.2 liter V8 SS model will be 416 horsepower. Both engines will feature cylinder deactivation when paired with automatic transmissions for increased fuel economy. Weight distribution is stated to be 52/48. Base weight given is a little over 3700lbs. It will have 4 wheel independent suspension stability control. Also giving quite a distinctive look is the blue LED instrument lighting.

One of GM's websites today turned out our first look at the production 2010 Camaro Convertible. It also may be the first look at the production headlights and grill, instead of the temporary dual units seen on preproduction cars. From the GM blog: By Ed Peper North America Vice President, Chevrolet A few months ago, we showed you some official “spy shots” of the pre-production version of the new Camaro coupe. To say the least, response to that post was overwhelmingly enthusiastic – something that was extremely gratifying to all of us here at Chevrolet, who have been hard at work testing and retesting the Camaro development models. As a reward for your interest – and your patience – here’s a sneak peak of the convertible version of the Camaro, which is also undergoing a similar evaluation as we ready it for full production later next year.
