Don’t Understand

I just don’t understand
Some people these days
Who play with emotions
In a heartless way
They think you are blind
Desperate and such
To believe you’re naïve
To realize so much
You give them a chance
To prove yourself wrong
In hopes they are truthful
So you can be strong
But the gut feelings you get
Are yet again there
Telling you to be careful
There is something to fear
So trust in your heart
Believe in yourself
And life will go on
Never doubt how you feel
It will never lead you wrong.
