This breakbeat DJ began listening to dance music as a child. The oldest offspring of a pair of OLD school club heads, Shifty has been in or near the club scene since before he was old enough to attend events. At the age of 19, a friend gave him a set of old belt drive turntables and a few records to practice with. What followed can only be described as a match made in heaven. Shifty has been rocking dancefloors since he first popped into the public eye at the Dallas Music Festival in February of 2005. At this point, he had been a bedroom DJ for 11 years, honing his skills at house parties all over Dallas. Luckily, he was heard by a booking agent at one such party, and asked to perform at the festival there on the spot. Shifty has played at several venues in and around Dallas for the last year, With mixes and links being hosted on websites as far away as the UK, he is starting to make waves around the world. Preparing to play outside the state of Texas for the first time professionally, keep an eye out for this up and comer in your own hometowns soon.
