Why is it that, in Canada, a country that is suppose to be based on equallity between men and women, sexism still exists. If a man breaches a court order he gets charged, however if a woman does the same exact breach, the police mearly tell her not to do it again. The family courts are nothing but a joke. They give the kids strictly to the mothers, and us fathers don't get fuck all except child support payments. Even with joint custody father's still have no role in raising our kids. Is this fair to either the kids or the fathers? All that the lawyers want to do is negotiate, instead of fighting for our rights. Any lawyer that i have met in the past four years does the same thing, take the mother's side, instead of fighting for my rights as a father. I have not seen or talked to my kids in 14 months, and yet i live only a few blocks from their school. The last time i went to a school play, the police showed up on my doorstep under the false pretence of what the mother said. I had to show them the court order stating that I have joint custody of my children and that I do have specified access to them. Why didn't they make my ex provide papers to prove her claims? Why did they just simply believe her lies? Because they are sexist. Why are there only Women's shelters and programs for abused women and none for men? Men do get abused too!!!!!!!!!!!!I know from personal experience.
