My daughter went to the My Chemical Romance Concert. She had a great time, and purchased a 50.00 hoodie with her own money.
Walking home from school the next day, it was pouring down rain, and her friend didn't have a jacket, so Melissa let her wear it, and told her to bring it back to school the next day. Tomorrow never came, so after 2 days, I rang the mother and said I would be driving over that night to pick up my daughter's jacket. She informed me that she gave it away to a used clothing store, because she told her daughter that she wasn't allowed to borrow clothes anymore, and she's tired of seeing her clothes laying around. She knew the jacket was NOT her daughters. Naturally the mother and I got into it, and all she could say was sorry, but she had to teach her daughter a lesson, and it was unfortunate that my daughter had to suffer because of her daughter's mistake. I told the mother, that she needs to pay for my daughter's jacket, and she hung up on me.
My question to you all is. What do you feel about this situation, and do you think the mother needs to reimburse my daughter?
