The blade slides across her wrist
Blood sprays in fine mist
Slowly stopping
now just a few drops
She cuts a little deeper hoping her pain stops
Blood splatters to the floor
No
She can't do that anymore
Bandages her arm
Can't let him know she does herself harm
Hides her pain once more
Not allowing him to see the gore
The scars on her arm grow deeper each day
It never really mattered what he had to say
She reaches out in the words she writes
Feeling better
until the approach of the lonely night
Don't write of such things
he wants her to stop
One day she will stop these lines of pain
And on that day
the world will gain
Fore she will no longer be here
Causing
that shed tear
But for now
