Well it goes without saying that I am from Nashville, Tennessee. I've always wondered what others think of Nashvillians. Some think we are hicks straight out of the corn field, walk around with moonshine jugs marked xxx and wear no shoes and one last thing...don't forget the corncob pipe! Seriously, Nashville is a great town. I graduated from Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities. My degrees are in philosophy and in social work. I never worked in the social work field though because I was ALREADY working for the Post Office at the time. Boy that was an experience... 7 1/2 years. Now I work for a courier service for US Bank. It pays the bills though. This summer I got to sit on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. My friend got me and my pal Barbara stage seats! I watched Lorrie Morgan sing "Good As I Was To You" and Danielle Peck sing "Jesus Loves you, I Don't". I actually got to sing on the stage of the Opry about ten years ago. Relax...it was for our Church's sacrament of Confirmation. I enjoy singing. It has been a real honor to meet some really great songwriters and performers (Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith to name a few). I'm still waiting for the day that they ask me to sing with them.....LOL. THAT will probably never happen. But until then...I can dream!
