Both are sad on both accounts, whichever way it turns out to be....
When it hits home, though, is a much more definite feeling..
Today I had found out my best friend, from primary school until high school, father had died. No one contacted me. I just found out a few minutes ago from my mother, who read the obits...
I grew up with him, and my other friend, they are still close as I had "wandered from the path." Yeah, a little hurt because it, but understandable.
He had lost his mom in 1997 due to breathing problems, which was very like what killed his dad. In 1995, he lost his 12 year old baby brother in a trailer fire where he was burned.
Apparently either he, or his remaining brother had just lost a child as well, out of state....I know that it was a young child, their kids are younger then mine are...
Also... found out today, as well...
A girl I went through school with, who was also "the girl next door" for me... one of them anyway... My neighbor growing up...Had also just lost her 7 year old son. I don't know the details as of yet...
I had lost another neighbor in 1995, as well, whom my brother grew up with, and rode our bus daily. He was sliced into two halves in an ATV accident, in the fields behind my mother's place...
A close friend also died of a brain aneurysm in 2003... She and I have had much fun together through the years. I was also friends with her fiance at the time of death...This had also killed her mother at a young age. Her family line ended with her, except for a half sister, but that particular family line had gone with her.
All of these people I have mentioned, were decent people.... Great people, with decent personalities, big hearts and loving souls.
I wonder why the decent ones have to go out of this world...
I wonder why October is my worse month of the year...
All in all.. it makes me wonder, when is my time up?......
