Once again players will return as Isaac Clarke to try and rid the universe of the Necromorph infestation. This time he will get a much needed hand in dealing with the horde with a new co-op feature.
Isaac Clarke returns as the universes most stressed out space exterminator in Dead Space 3. The game continues the on going storyline of Isaac's quest to rid the universe of the monstrous Necromorph plague that threatens humanity. Isaac along with Ellie Langford (Dead Space 2), crash land on the planet Tau Volantis and they quickly discover they are not alone. Tau Volantis is also crawling with violent creatures, and the planet may hold the key to ending the Necromorph plague for good.
Stranded on the icy planet, Isaac navigates through the hostile new environment for raw materials and scavenged parts. Using his engineering skills, he creates items, customize weapons and makes tools to help aid him in his quest and help ensure Ellie's and his survival on Tau Volantis.
Isaac then runs into Sergeant John Carver (a EarthGov officer assigned on Uxor), who shares a common interest in killing Necromorphs after the loss of his family. John Carver also witnessed the destruction of Marker Shroud 4, which directly resulted in a Necromorph outbreak. The two then work together to destroy the remaining creatures and using their origins to put an end to the nightmare once and for all.
The gameplay will be very similar to previous Dead Space titles with extra features of course. Players will be able to team up using the games co-op system, the co-op is a drop in and out system that allows a friend to join or drop out of the game at anytime.
