Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones have received an unofficial Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM which allows users to test the latest UI changes and features from Google's latest operating system upgrade. Both ROMs can be found at XDA Developers forum along with other builds that have been made available for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets, and for the old Galaxy Nexus model, too.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade isn't too far away from an official roll out for Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, but if you're eager to test it before that happens, then you can choose to flash an unofficial port of Android 5.0 AOSP. In order to install one of these builds you will first need to factory reset your smartphones. Both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 ports from Android 5.0 Lollipop are pretty solid and if you're an advanced user, then you should give it a try.[pompphone]
These custom ports of Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 are packing all the important features such as Material Design UI, new Quick Settings toggles, battery saving mode, Android Runtime, etc. These builds do not contain any mods nor enhancements, so you will be getting full Android 5.0 Lollipop. Note that by installing such ROMs you will also need to completely wipe your devices clean of all files, so that the new operating system will be able to recreate the partitions and install successfully.

It's usually screen size and monster specs that make news for smartphones, but the Oppo R5 is conquering a different category: thinness.

Oppo's latest is staking claim to the "world's thinnest smartphone" title. The Oppo R5 comes in at 4.85mm (0.19-inch) thick, beating out the current king, the 5.15mm Elife S5.1. Sure, the Chinese manufacturer isn't selling it here in the U.S., but it's at least worth seeing how manufacturers are pushing smartphone design to more extreme limits. (For a more common comparison, the iPhone 6 measures in at 6.9mm.)

To compensate for that razor thinness, the Oppo R5 needed to make some compromises on the spec sheet. There's only 16GB of internal storage and no microSD expansion slot, so you can't splurge on too many of those Humble Bundles.

There's also no headphone jack. To make up for this, Oppo bundles in a micro-USB adapter so you can plug in, though that means making sure you grab it before going out for a run. Instead, the most practical solution is a set of Bluetooth headphones.

The other specs are respectable, as the Oppo R5 has a 5.2-inch HD AMOLED screen, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera (5MP for the front-facing, selfie cam), a 2,000 mAh battery, and LTE radio. POMP Smartphone Online

Earlier this year Motorola released a new Moto X for 2014, the Moto X, and even a Moto E smartphone, but they aren't quite finished just yet. A new smartphone for Verizon is coming soon, known as the DROID Turbo. And today we have additional pictures and a possible release date.

As if we didn't know everything about the upcoming Motorola DROID Turbo for Verizon Wireless already, another set of pictures have leaked this weekend ahead of the unveiling and official launch. We've seen plenty of it already, but below are all the details.

Rumors and leaks have continued to tease a new smartphone coming soon for Verizon Wireless called the Motorola DROID Turbo, and after the entire user manual revealed all the key features a few weeks ago, today more official photos have leaked, painting a clear picture ahead of the October 28th announcement date.

Today we're seeing the new Motorola DROID Turbo for Verizon Wireless completely boxed up and ready to buy. This is full retail packaging, suggesting the release date is sooner than many originally thought, and now we have evidence to back that up.Kingzone n3

The Twitter account @Motofirmware leaked the photos shown below over the weekend. Showing off the DROID Turbo in retail boxes, complete with the new Turbo Charger that promises 8 hours of battery life after just 15 minutes on the charger, and is giving us another clear look at the phone before Motorola officially announces it tomorrow.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone, which was launched during the MWC 2014 event in February, will reportedly receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update starting from December this year.

According to a report citing sources close to Samsung's plans, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 might take up to a full month to finish rolling out to every handset worldwide. The exact roll-out dates of the update were not mentioned by the Sammobile report.

Notably, Samsung officially hinted the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was due for the Galaxy Note 4, with a Twitter post earlier this week.

Recently, HTC and Sony had also confirmed which of their devices will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. While four of HTC's smartphones will be receiving an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop officially, Sony announced that the entire Xperia Z lineup will be updated to the new OS version.Kingzone n3

A report on Monday claimed that HTC's list of devices for the update could be longer than it announced on Twitter. Other than HTC One (M7); HTC One (M8); HTC One mini, and HTC One mini 2, the Android 5.0 Lollipop will allegedly make its way to the HTC Desire Eye, HTC One (M8) Dual SIM, HTC One (M7) Dual SIM, HTC One (E8), HTC One (E8) Dual SIM, HTC Butterfly 2, HTC Desire 816, HTC One Max, and HTC Butterfly S handsets.

It is difficult to take a very good selfie if the front camera on your smartphone shot photos that were dated by year 2000 standards. New smartphone from HTC, the eye of desire, is the goal of revolutionizing the selfie. It has a 13-megapixel front camera, the same resolution that the camera looking back. That means the next photo that takes itself at a conference or for the media social profile will be sharper than ever.Kingzone n3

Course, for small business owners, so important is the ability of the eye desire to improve videoconferencing while you're on the move. This could be the end of pixilated choppy videos while you use Skype in your mobile phone.

Apart from cameras, the eye of desire has some impressive internal specifications, according to a review of the device over the edge. New HTC smartphone has a 5.2-inch 1080 p HD screen. 801 and 2 GB of RAM is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is equal to the more expensive M8 of HTC smartphone and the new iPhone 6. But unlike the devices more than premium, the eye of desire has a plastic coating, not a metal.

HTC says that eye wish will be available sometime in October, but has not given any indication of what it will cost. At the same time that HTC is revealing its new smartphone, is also officially introducing the network pictures of Zoe.

Thinner and lighter than an iPad mini, more resilient to water too. It's the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, the third member of the Z3 family. Like the other two it's waterproof and has front-facing stereo speakers, a Triluminos display and Snapdragon 801 chipset plus a camera with Exmor RS sensor.

There's not much to the box – a charger and a microUSB cable. It may be worthwhile to invest in a magnetic charging dock or at least a cable so you don't have to open the flap that protects the microUSB each time you want to charge the tablet.

This is to ensure an IP68 rating, Sony has tested the tablet under 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. The 3.5mm audio jack and the front-facing stereo speakers are left uncovered, while the one/two card slots are behind flaps.

The stereo speakers are backed by some software enhancements, but it's the 3.5mm audio jack that brings the big guns – Hi-Res audio support, DSEE HX and built-in support for noise-cancelling headphones.

The screen is a fairly sharp 8″ LCD with 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution, though not quite as sharp as 2,560 x 1,600 pixel screens. Anyway, the Triluminos tech renders stunning reds and greens. We like that Sony's default wallpaper cycles through colors to showcase the screen's capabilities. Sony claims it's the brightest it has made yet, we'll be sure to put that claim to the test.

The chipset at the heart of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a Snapdragon 801 with four Krait 400 cores at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. With a lightly-skinned Android the interface flies, but it's gaming that's the real challenge for the chipset. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact can play just about any game from the Play Store, but with PS4 Remote Play it can also serve as a wireless screen for a PlayStation 4 or serve as a DualShock controller.

The Verizon Galaxy note 4 release date has come close as Verizon Galaxy note 4 pre-orders ship now advance to the mysterious device release date.

In September, shortly after Samsung took the stage to confirm the note 4, carriers of the US Galaxy made confirmations of their own. Among them, Verizon, one of the most popular carriers of the United States and a likely destination for buyers of the Galaxy note 4. Verizon revealed almost immediately Galaxy note 4 details though, as other companies in the United States, not confirmed key information.

Verizon Galaxy note 4 release date still has not been officially confirmed but all indications point to an arrival later this week, a few days after his rivals AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. While the exact date not yet announced, we know that the Verizon Galaxy note 4 release date is getting close now that the company has begun its initial batch of pre-orders of shipping.

Consumers who pre-ordered the Galaxy note 4 prior to the date of release without notice from Verizon have said it must be mobile their pre-orders shipping today, just a few days ahead of Verizon on October 23 ship date, a date that could also serve as the Verizon Galaxy note 4 online release date both in physical stores.Kingzone n3

Councils have been confirmed by conversations between users of Verizon Galaxy note 4 at XDA-Developers. Several buyers say that its Galaxy note 4 has shipped with delivery scheduled for this week. Some of these orders have no precise arrival dates but we hope that will change as the day goes by. Estimated arrival dates are usually displayed for hours once the package is picked up for delivery.

Verizon black Galaxy note 4 still appears with a date of availability of October 23 while white Galaxy note 4 listed with their relative date 31 October. Verizon is sending both white and black Galaxy note 4 models today but those who order the Galaxy 4 Note white today probably not get it until the end of the month.

The Xperia Z3 has only just launched but Sony is already hard at work on the follow-up. It would have to be really, if it's going to launch early next year as expected.

But as the phone exists inevitably details about it have been leaked, including the fact that from 2015 Sony will apparently only release one flagship each year.

That would make a certain amount of sense, given how small the change was between the Xperia Z2 and the Xperia Z3. Having said that it looks like the Sony Xperia Z4 could be quite a substantial improvement.

According to these rumours, which come from Android Origin's "trusted sources", the Xperia Z4 will have a 5.5-inch QHD 1440 x 2560 display, a 64-bit 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 430 GPU. So it should be a seriously powerful device.Kingzone n3

The source goes on to claim that it will have 32GB of storage, a curved Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a similar resolution to previous Xperia flagships (so around 20.7MP) and that the phone will support Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE Cat.6 connectivity, leaving it equipped to handle LTE-A speeds.

Samsung Galaxy note 8 launched pre-loaded with Jelly Bean, AT & T variant stalled in this version for Android so far. Samsung has announced that the update of Android Galaxy note 8 4.4.2 is now being pushed by AT & T variant of the 8 inch tablet.

According to the changelog, published on the website of Samsung, the new Android update Galaxy note 8 4.4.2 arrives with patches of security, multi-user, GMS applications update, while the application of music Beat is now pre-loaded. Of course, the new update will also come with all the extras of KitKat specific including transparent State and navigation bars, white status bar icons, immersive, cloud printing new location menu mode, art album and screen film full in lock screen, or emoji support, along with Samsung color updated apps and an intelligent keyboard of Samsung.Kingzone n3

As of usual, 4.4.2 Android update for Samsung Galaxy note 8 will be extended in stages, which means that some of you might not be able to download it and install it right now. Once the device becomes eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to see a message in the notification bar system update. Tap on it, choose "Download now", wait until it has finished downloading, then select "Install now". The device should restart and install the update. If notification of the update of the system does not appear, also want to perform a manual check under settings > device > Software updates > check for software updates. You can also check for new update with KIES. Grab the USB cable, connect your note 8 to PC, and then launch KIES and search if a new update is available.

The new update has JZO54K build number.I467UCANI2 and even if Samsung does not mention anything about the update file to your web page, we hope to exceed 600 MB. Therefore, we recommend that you download the update using a stable WiFi to prevent unwanted data charges.

Is there any Samsung Galaxy note 8 owner among you? Has he received the new update? Please let us know in the comments below section.

Google has only recently announced its next flagship device, the Nexus 6, and the media is all over it. There are some features that we know will appear in the Nexus 6, which we'll detail in this post.

The Nexus 6 is a massive device (5.96-inch display) and comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box, further increasing the hype for the flagship handset. We're already used to Nexus devices being a mark of quality in the smartphone world, especially because it always comes packed with the best software in the industry. What's further attractive to us is the price, which is normally pretty good for its high-tier features.

The first feature we know about is its water resistance. Motorola has confirmed this. The second feature we have confirmed is the new and innovative Qi wireless charging. It also comes equipped with a massive 3,220mAh battery and wireless charging. If we take these things into consideration, the Nexus 6 appears to be a really sturdy device which is sure to beat its predecessors when it comes down to battery life.Kingzone n3

3GB of RAM has also been confirmed which, combined with Android Lollipop, gives you a very smooth multitasking experience, making your phone feel very fluid. A 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset is also included, along with a 4K video capture and Motorola's turbo charger. The turbo charger is what's truly exciting, allowing you to charge your device for 15 minutes, resulting in 6 hours of battery life – almost unprecedented.

If we have to draw a conclusion from what we know so far, it's obvious that the Nexus 6 is vastly superior to what Google has already released, especially in the battery life department, which is definitely the most important thing to consider when buying a new smartphone.

What do you think about the Nexus 6? Do these features sound promising to you? We'd love to hear you out in the comment section.
