| | Dating interfered with by an ex.. what to do |

I met someone and her and I started dating. she separated from her husband for 8 months, in process of divorce, after her husband left her for a younger woman, she is a mother of 2 children. Things were going great as far as her and I, and I had asked her what would happen if her ex decides to come back after realizing that someone else was with her, she said it wouldnt happen, that he was with this other person and didnt want her. So that calmed those thoughts that run through the normal persons head in that situation.
Then this week her daughter gets sick, and Thursday she is at the hospital... Her ex shows up, talks to her and says he wants to be back with her. (what was feared)
She decides to let me know that she wants to try to give him a 2nd chance, says she may regret it, but doesnt want to throw away 13 years she had with him.
So... What does the person on this end (myself) do in this situation? Do I give up hope with her, or to I hold on by a thread thinking she might want to come back to me?
And is it wrong for me to not want things to work with them this time? |
