Hope is a dream; this I have seen.
The fool is the one who truly believes.
It may start as something you merely possess,
only to end up as a thing you obsess.
Living for this is dying, for nothing.
Believe this as true, and it will happen to you.
Simple words can't describe the pain you feel inside;
insanity of mind, you won't be able to hide.
Along with your dream comes the reality of lies;
a fool can also be convicted of this crime.
The hope is now gone and madness comes to mind,
surely you've been left, very far behind.
Playing the fool holds nothing but heartache,
good-bye to all, hello to nothing.
And hurting like this, what would you do to stop it?
Would you open your wrists, would you cast yourself into the pit?
