Seeing you together
Like father like son
So much alike in so many ways
But yet so different
I see you both so happy together
When he hugs you goodnight
The look in your eyes
When he says “ I love you daddy”
He knows you love him
He knows you care
Though you may never say it
Though you may never show it
At night while he’s sleeping
You watch him sleep and softly say
“My son I love you
With all my heart.
I will be here as often as I can
But, all you need to remember is
That Daddy Loves you.”
With those words
You turn and walk away
I know it hurts to know what you know

The way you love
