Yet ANOTHER two part lucid dream last night. This one was unusual in it's detail though. I am sure that I will have to break this up over at least 2 blogs because FU, in it's infinite wisdom, decided to put a LIMIT on the number of characters that are allowed in one blog...so we shall see how it goes....at least TWO maybe three so let's just see shall we?
A bunch of friends and I were walking from one party to another party in Downtown LA and all of a sudden people started screaming. I looked back to see what was going on and I saw a huge lightening BALL explode from the ground about what seemed a half mile away. My first thought was "some idiot decided to nuke LA...great" so I looked around for shelter but soon realized it was not a nuke.....it was a regular explosion because I saw puffs of debris wafting down the street like after 9/11...slowly...not like a nuke that wipes you away, before you can even see it coming, by the shockwave first. So I relaxed and assumed it was just a regular explosion. As others ran from it I ran as fast as I could INTO it to help the injured but the way was blocked. So I climbed up a hill and others were there that I did not know. They were trying to traverse AROUND the devastation so I thought if I went the way they were going, I could see where it was at least and how bad it was & then climb back down towards it. As I crested the hill, which was oddly perilous & steep btw, I looked down to see a young man with blonde curly hair ( a recurring stranger in my dreams who always dies) look up at me from the staircase he was climbing down with a huge grin on his face. He was holding a white hanky and waving it to me when a gust of wind blew it from his hands and it knocked off the hat he was wearing. In his distraction at trying to grab BOTH his hat & hanky he lost his balance and plunged to his death. I was standing next to a fire escape and before I could do ANYTHING about THAT, a naked man came racing up towards the group from the fire escape ladder. . I didn't care that he was naked, but could see there was something very wrong with him by his eyes. They frosted over so they were almost white and there was no intelligence in them at all...plus he was moving too fast to be trusted so I thought " well I hope he comes after ME because I can take him down and these others CANNOT"....and sure enough he pulls out a steel flat bar that was crudely sharpened like a prison shank but about 2 feet long from behind his back. Before he could even raise it I picked him up and threw him off what I realized THEN was a sheer cliff and I was WAY too close the edge. But I saw him falling like in the movie CLIFFHANGER (ROFL) and tried to get the momentum of my body after throwing him going the other way, but the cliff edge was covered in dead old dried moss so it kept slipping. My feet fell off of the side, but as I fell I grabbed the moss and heard it tear like paper slowly. Gasps from the frozen crowd made me realize that they were not going to help me so I CALMY but with a very intense voice said " SOMEONE get a rope. I can hold onto the rock after the moss rips but I don't know for how long...I can hold long ENOUGH though so get a fucking rope NOW" That seemed to focus them and there was some scurried activity but one woman actually braved coming to the edge. She lowered her hand and I tried to reach it...still calm...knowing I would be ok if they fucking got me a rope. We could not touch hands but just as my toe hold on the rock crevaces were starting to slip someone lowered a small noose shape rope down to me. I thought " all I need is one wrist hanging...I can hang here all night until the professionals arrive to pull me up...just get the noose around my wrist..I don't care how much it hurts" and the last of PART ONE is a cinematic profile shot of me hanging by one wrist from a cliff instead of crushed like a bug like psycho dude a quarter mile below me..I shit you not...a gorgeous sunset behind me and I was happy as a Hummingbird.
