Consideration

Waves washing upon the shore

Eroding, taking substance,

Swift current churning

Leaving a vacancy, lost safe harbor.

Asking for what’s not there,

From a person who needs.

Is not to consider the other,

But shallow love of oneself.

Loss is a vacancy made.

Seek not that which has eroded,

Is not to build, but steal,

Is not to create, but destroy.

The means is to replace,

Not ask.

The solution is to understand,

Not demand.

To love is to consider,

Not expect.

It is to give unconditionally.
