She paces back and forth
Worries fill her head,
She stops only to see her boyfriend,
Patiently sitting at the end of the bed.
Getting her thoughts together,
But her words are still hard to find,
Until she takes a deep breath,
And says what's on her mind.
"It's been three years,
And I like where this is going,
But the future holds no promises,
And you know I hate not knowing.
Theres no garauntee that we'll always be together
I know we can fight for so long,
But I don't wanna fight forever."
The boyfriend looked up at her,
His confidence filled the air,
Replying......
"To conquer love without a fight, would be living life unfair"
She says, " We're able to make it together
But what about when we're apart?
What if theres another one,
That comes and steals your heart?"
He answers, " You are now apart of me,
For as long as I live,
There will never be another,
I only have one heart to give."
Yet she still paces back and forth,
Her heart is not content,
When he said he loved her,
Its clear she didn't know what he meant.
So he stopped her from pacing, and grabbed her by the hips,
Sat her on his lap,
Gave her the softest kiss on her lips.
Before he said anything
He looked deep into her eyes,
He was about to speak the truth,
There was no space for lies.
"We've been together to long,
To start lingering in doubt.
We can't change the past or future,
The present is what its about.
You don't have to worry,
I'll always hold you down.
Being with you,
Reminds me of happiness I've found.
As long as we're together,
There's a piece of heaven we taste........."
He smiles as he sees a tear roll down his baby's face.
She puts a finger to his lips,
Lets him know she understands.
He hugs her tight, feels the warmth
And holds her other hand.
In that time everything little thing
Started to make sense,
Their hearts and minds became one,
As they held each other in silence
