Soooooo... here's a snapshot of what's been going on in my life so far this year.

On the 2nd I deleted my whole friends list. I was stressed to the max physically and sick of not knowing who had me on their list to be friends vs. just because they were too nice to delete me. Seemed like a good time to do it for the new year, and those who've noticed and sent me requests have been gratefully accepted back. It had nothing to do with anyone personally; I even deleted Durham without warning him in advance.

I'd had kidney stones causing me tons of pain since before turkey day. I finally got a surgery scheduled for 1/5 to have the large ones in my right kidney removed. Unfortunately, in the surgical prep in radiology where they use a fluoroscope to place the tube for access to the stone, things went haywire. The radiologist had to poke several times and by the time I got to the OR my kidney was so inflamed and bloody that my surgeon couldn't see the stones. I was admitted to the hospital and kept until 1/9, in a TON of pain. Then I had to go back on the 11th to give it another go, and it went quite well. The largest stone had popped out one of the holes the radiologist made, and is floating around in my body where it's not supposed to cause any problems. The other stones were lasered and removed, and my pain was gone. Unfortunately, breaking up the stones released pockets of infection so I was in the hospital until the 15th getting massive amounts of IV and oral antibiotics.

I'm home now, but while I was in the hospital they cut me off cold turkey from all my meds - including my antidepressants. I just started them back up last night when I realized how emo I was getting over a turd that I'd erroneously thought was a good person. So, my mood's still kinda on a roller-coaster while the zoloft and wellbutrin build back up in my system. I try to get off fu when I notice myself getting pissy, but sometimes I get riled up and can't keep my mouth shut

Anyway, that's what's been going on at chez Reeka.

I almost forgot one of the most important things - apparently getting stuck in a hospital with sepsis was a bit inconvenient for GM, so I'm no longer employed. At least this time I shouldn't have a problem getting unemployment...
