A precious love so meant to be
The love I thought I'd never find,
Circumstance entered our lives,
And got lost within our minds.
The life we once knew vanished,
Our love now like a riddle.
Survivors of many things,
We chose to meet in the middle.
We know the sweet beginning,
The end, I'm sure father time will tell.
The circumstances were just a test,
A challenge from the fiery pits of hell.
The emotions are overwhelming,
I know we both have fears.
Our dreams can still come true,
Despite all the circumstancial tears.
If we were there to hold one another
You and I could kiss the sky,
Sheltered under the wing of a friend,
'Til our hearts safely learn to fly.
