I have always liked christmas. It has always been the feeling of love and charity that has made it one of my favorites. I Like thinking that maybe during the Christmas season peoples hearts soften just a little to the mundaneness of thier lives and relationships to their fellow men. I like seeing people get out of their little zones and opening their hearts to the people around them, known or unknown.
Does it matter? My answer not really. It doesn't matter whether your help comes to those you know or people half-way around the world. It doesn't matter if it is money or your time. It doesn't matter because the reason is the same. To help someone who needs it. Despite situation, class, creed, race, religion, or belief system. Christmas, because of this spirit of giving, now crosses all borders. Christmas lives in everyone whether christian or not. Because, Christmas is not a holiday. It is a spirit of humanity, and that lives in us all.
