| i have an *almost* 7 year old..and he decided the other night that he wanted "to be adopted and live with another family". this kind of ticked me off...because this kid gets everything he needs, and most of what he wants (aside from..you know, his own dinosaur in the yard or crazy crap like that) so i decided, he needs to see what i do all day to take care of him and make sure he has a nice place to live, and all the things it takes to run the household. so i'm making him do chores every day after school. are chores appropriate for a 7 year old? or not? (fyi: by chores i mean folding his own laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, emptying the dishwasher) |
