I can't wait to hear your voice crack.
I can't wait to teach you how to shave.
I can't wait to hear about the first time you ask a girl out.
I can't wait until your first kiss.
I dread your first broken heart.
I can't wait to be there to console you and help pick you up.
I'm excited to be able to see how you heal, and grow.
I can't wait to be proud, and sad, as you take your date to prom.
I can't wait to be proud, and sad, as you graduate from High School and move on to college.
I can't wait to see you grow up, and become a man.
I can't wait to see you meet the love of your life, and hear about that moment when you first realize that she is.

I hope to share your life with you, not just as your dad, but as your best friend.
Believe me when I say these decisions I make now, are the hardest I'll ever make.
As much as they'll hurt you, they scare me more.
