Chakras and Meditation

Chakras and Meditation Chakras are sources of energy in your body, each corresponding to a different physical region. However, the physical body is not all you're made of. In fact, many believe that there are layers of energy that make up your presence here on earth. Those layers are: Physical body ; This is the only body that can be viewed without clairvoyant abilities. It can be seen and felt. This is the densest of the seven bodies and is the one through which you most actively interact with the world. Emotional body ; This is the entity you use to both express and feel emotions, including the feeling of divine love. Mental body ; This body corresponds to the source of your thinking and reasoning. Abstract thinking, creativity, logical reasoning, and philosophy are housed here. Meditation is one of the greatest keys to psychic defense. Regular meditation practice leaves you clear, centered, and in a mental place where you can respond to potential threats, rather than unconsciously react to them. It doesn’t matter the style or tradition of meditation. Regular practice is the key. You will not get the long term psychic protection benefits of meditation by doing it only once every few weeks. It must be like exercise, done regularly. I suggest at least three times a week. If you can do it daily, so much the better. Better mental focus can be gained by meditation.The type of meditation that I am refering to is an emptying of the mind to think of nothing. You should sit in a quiet relaxed environment, no music, not necesary you sit with feet flat on the floor hands and arms not crossing not indian style, nothing crossed, it "crosses" the energy flow you will take several deep breaths in through your nostrils and out through your mouth, blowing the rythm is in 2,3 hold 2,3 out 2,3. You can picture your stresses and problems as cartoons and blow them out of your mouth you keep doing this until you feel "cleansed" , rid of these issues. Then picture a white light, the color of a fluorescent light bulb.It starts at the top of your head and flows down the sides of your body, the out line, per se, and goes all the way to your feet, closing/meeting at your feet. It is VERY IMPORTANT to close at the feet, as this is your protection. Then you take the same white light back up through the interior of your body. After you get good at this, you can go to the cellular level, but don't worry about that now the interior part is harder to do and will take more time but you can get very fast at this after you have practiced you can get better at it with daily practice. After you have achieved learning how to visualize the white light, you can then start a cute little visualization to open your chakras. This is not religious, or even based in a religion per se at all, anyone can do this without offending their religious beliefs. The order of the method is first you do the breathing, and then you do the light,then you do this: First picture a flower garden with a white picket fence around it and a gate go up to the gate, open it go into the garden The first thing you notice is some fine red roses, then you look next to them and you see orange marigolds, (If you do not know these flowers the colors will do fine or you can look them up, whichever you like the colors are the important part,they correspond with the chakras and the order of their colors.) Next you picture/see yellow dafodils, then you notice the cool green grass on your bare feet then you look up into the sky and see that it is a beautiful summer day, blue sky, then you look down at your new indigo blue jeans, you now look up and see some lovely violets at the base of a tree. You go around that tree and see some lilacs they smell very nice (if you don't know what lilacs smell like... you can sub lavender instead), you then notice a stream nearby. You see the stream and you go sit down and put your feet in it across the stream on the other side is a woods and you just sit and relax you can set a timer for 20 min, when you hear the timer go off you must reverse things. Then you get up and go around the tree, you see the lavennder, then the violets, then your new jeans, then the blue sky, then the green grass, then the sky, then the grass, then the yellow dafffodils, and the orange marigolds, and the red roses, you walk out of the gate and close it and you are finished. It is important that you do them all even now, as you are reading this, because even the mental images as we are chatting opened your chakras, and you must be sure to close them!! The smell of the flowers is not really important we just add that for more fun. This meditation exercise will help you to train, to focus and to clear you mind. While you are at the stream and are sitting there You can just try real hard to think of nothing, a black chalk board. This blankness can also be called "the space between thoughts". If you find yourself wandering mentally, or day dreaming then you make yourself stop and go back to nothing. There by training yourself to focus. This opening of yourself allows for higher spiritual comunication. You may feel you are being shown something by your guardian angel or God/whatever you believe, go with that and try to remember what info is shown to you. 20 min is as long as you should do it in a sitting. If you fall asleep, then that is what you needed anyway, accept that for what it is, much needed rest, but try to do it when you are not so tired, or get more sleep at night. Sometimes it helps to do this meditation with other ppl and sometimes it helps to light a candle I am not sure of why the candle helps , other than it seems to clear the air and allows something for you to focus your attention on. I usually don't use the candle, so you can choose for yourself which you prefer. You will progress as fast as you are willing to do the practice. You should also consider putting the white light on your room and it can be used anywhere on anything it will protect and cleanse. The intensity of your thought and the strength that you apply it can make a difference, intent is key here. A persons will, as they say.
