My little battle

Hi there! To start this off I'll just say that I had a little battle with a feral cat inside my house today. Ultimately, I was able to get the cat released back outside but I did not come away battle scar free. This is true story. It happened within the last two days CAT FIGHT 2/19-2/20 About 6:00PM yesterday I had one of my outside kitties get in the house. It looked a lot like a set of triplets that we have that are gray in color with brown spots. It hid very well until about 8:30PM today. I didn't sleep much last night because I heard it rummaging around the house trying to get out but I could never find it to help it along. Well of course with it being basically a feral cat it was very scared being inside the house with not way out on its own. I saw the three cats outside earlier so I thought maybe it had snuck out during a time frame when I had left both the front door and the back door open for the purpose of it getting out on its own. As I said earlier it hid really well until about 8:30PM today. I was putting a few logs on the fire to keep it warm as the temperature was cooling outside and both John and I heard a meow. I found the cat hiding behind the small flowered couch. Of course being feral and afraid it wasn't real cooperative about letting me help get it out. It finally made it's way to the bedroom and I worked in there for about 30 minutes trying to coax it out and gently reaching for it. Of course being feral it still struck out at me with claws and teeth. It finally came out from under the bed and buried itself under the pile of John's clothes on his dresser. I was able to get a hold of it at that time. Of course when I did get a hold of it it was still so scared that it struck out at me again. I have lots of holes in my hands and on my right side between the waist and hip area. Where it continued fighting me until I got it curled up against me and released outside. John and I then came to the conclusion that there must be a set of quadruplets since I thought it was triplets and one was still in the house. Sure enough when I got the tuna out there to reward it for cooperating with me in the end there were a set of 4 cats that looked identical. Of course the other 1/2 dozen or so cats that we have out there joined in the feast. Have a good rest of the week! Sarah P.S. I still love cats!
