Nut Butter

Combine 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds or walnuts; 1/4 cup butter, softened; and 1/4 cup apricot or peach preserves.
Citrus Butter

Combine 1/2 cup butter, softened; 1 tablespoon powdered sugar; and 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel or lemon peel.
Breakfast Butter

Combine 1/2 cup butter, softened, and 2 tablespoons honey or maple-flavored syrup.
Onion-Parmesan Butter

Combine 1/2 cup butter, softened; 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese; and 2 tablespoons sliced green onion.
Herb Butter
