Well, I guess its about time I got around to updating this thing since I claim to enjoy other people's about me's. I have been told that I am one of the few that actually read the "about me's" That's a pity. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words but just a few words can be worth a thousand pictures (did somebody famous say that? I don't know. somebody let me know if they've seen that somewhere)

So, here goes:

I happen to be a christian but, before you who are not discount me as a judgmental prude who has no interest in interacting with those who do not believe, let me say that I wholeheartedly agree that religion has been the cause of some of the most horrific acts in the history of humankind.

I am not about religion. I believe more in a relationship with my creator than following a particular set of traditions or ceremonies. I like to think that I am reasonably intelligent and capable of debating how my faith can fit into the world at large. Any of you who wish to may feel free to attempt to convince me of the error of my ways as long as you don't mind me doing the same in return. With that said, I will never atempt to ram my own beliefs down anyone's throat. I am also capable of discussing a lot of different topics and I really do enjoy the quest for knowledge. I believe that God hard wired us to be inquisitive creatures.

I am an artist. That's not all of what I am but it is what I am most passionate about. I approach my art as a means of expressing what I experience and what I am interested in at any particular point in my life. You will notice as I begin to post samples of my art here that there are a lot of ladies portrayed. That's only natural. I am a perfectly normal guy with all the right urges at all the right times. I enjoy the female form as a thing of exquisite beauty worthy of capturing in art. Guys will also be represented but I have an idea that it'll be a little lopsided. I will also be posting other types of art as well. I wanted to be an architect when I was young so there will be some of that as well. I'm just getting started on this and I also work two other jobs so, I'm a wee bit busy. Be patient with me.

Now, the above doesn't mean that I am looking for cam sex. So, if you you happen to make your living that way, more power to you but please don't send me any invites for it. I only have so much time in the day and I don't have enough for that.

I am also recently separated and trying to regain my equilibrium before I dive back into the dating pool. I am here on the Fu at this point to meet new friends, male and female and also frankly because Fubar is a very rich source of subjects for my own particular specialty in art, pencil portraiture. I have also worked with acrylics, oils and clay sculpture. Pencil portraits were my first foray into the artistic realm and my favorite means of expressing what I see.

I got away from my art for a very long time (life just seems to get in the way sometimes - maybe more on that later) and I am working to get back to my first love. Because I was away for so long, I got a little rusty. Polishing up my technique and speed are only going to happen with a lot of practice. That's where my Fubar Art Project comes in. If you would like to have a drawing done, I am not charging for them right now unless you want the actual drawing on paper. Ones done for posting here on Fubar are free until the demand gets too heavy to justify it. My goal is to reach a point where I can consistenly sustain as many drawings as possible without sacrificing quality (don't know yet what that ratio will be) so that I can realistically make a living doing them.

By the way, I think that intelligence in a woman is equally as appealiing as a hot body or a pretty face. If you like communicating in complete sentences, you are probably someone that I would enjoy talking to.
