jeb700's blog: "blog"

created on 04/19/2013  |  http://fubar.com/blog/b353791

well usually i don't blog, but i guess i will give it a try.  I have recently come acrossed a section of work in school where we are studdying other peoples religions, i ahve never been a religious person but i have always been open to hear other peoples ideologies.  When we first started learning about Christianity I was actually quite supprized how much Christians today have skewed the religion to boycotting and moneymaking, because originally Jesus was against hating anyone, so everyone who thinks that because you are christian you have to hate gay people, that is 100% wrong.  Jesus wanted you to not only love your neighbor but love your enemy as well (in my case its the same thing because my neighbor is a dick)  and sure same couple relationships may be a "sin" but who hasn't sinned once in their life?  In the bible there is a quote that says "he who has never sinned shall cast the first stone", and you know what happened?  NO ONE THREW THE FUCKING STONE.  I have a bit more respect for the religion, but i still dislike a lot of the followers for straying so far from the path of the religion and still calling it the same thing.  When we learned about Hinduism I was thuroughly intreagued that there was a religion so close to my own beliefs and yet different in the biggest ways.  They have a system where if you worship one of the gods it is counted as worshipping all of them, so you can pick your favorite god and worship it.  They also have good and evil gods, and gods that you would not expect like gods of learning and reading.  The system is polytheistic but if you choose to you can worship as if it was monotheistic.  the Islamic religion is close to Christianity and Judeism but it adds an aspect where none of the words in their religious book can be interpreted, and i find this interesting.  I am wondering if the Christiani and Jewish Bibble and Torah have been changed at all over time because there are not (m)any first edditions from over 2000 years ago.  But overall my views will still remain the same, and if you want to know more about them i might blog again next week :P
