Manifesto : The Skalds Soliloquy

I am a metaphorical solider, but more often? Called freak.
Come to assault your faults & defend our weak.
Using my pen as my weapon, refined to a thin line.
Precision guided to raise the moral of my kind.

Through welding inspiration & desire. Slinging passion & fire…
Out from my fingertips, energy ebbs & flows,
In this sharp verse, you maybe cut down, son,
You best run now… go!

Because I liberate P.O.W.s in dogmatic prisons,
And release trapped spirits from hypocritical systems.
Establish myself a new age leader,
High level general in spirit, tipping scales that teeter.

Garrison a legion of witches all poised for battle
On this literary field of war, I ride high in the saddle
My mission is not to hold a sermon or to preach
But rather to clear up misconceptions, to edify &… teach
Ok Class? Question 1.
How many pagans were murdered for not believing like them?
Millions at least, in god’s name, amen,
Justified murder, all condemned for sin, even though
Those blasphemous heretics, were honorable men

An did you know, they absorbed our principles to allow an easier transition
While erasing ages of wisdoms & oral traditions.
An that they took over our most hallowed & magickal places,
To erect canon compounds & conversion bases.

How they changed our horned god into their devil
An robbing Hel from us Norsemen, made the playing field level
How our sacred days were all stolen & given new names.
How pagans were demonized, & forced to feel shamed.

How bunnies & easter eggs were Eostre’s symbols of fertility
And at Christmas was Yule, the sun’s rebirth of virility.
Branding Samhain evil or so, they said,
Because we honor lost loves & those since past…
Through the veil go our dead; remember me, when I pass.

Reconstructing our lost history, I’ll pick up every stitch.
To summon back in, the season of the witch.
Time I reclaimed our place, it’s the change of the tide
Your falsehoods are exposed, tell me, where will you hide

Probably behind in the shadow of the cross
But is it wide enough to hide you are false
Or tall enough to conceal your cause?
Not close! You must recompense our loss

The Spanish inquisition just ended in 1834
It wasn’t that long ago, this is just a cold war
So Jesus was a noble man, but so was Giordano Bruno,
Priest murtyred (martyred - murdered)him a heretic, so now, you know.

An to those who believe in intelligent design
Come on open your eyes, I see Neanderthals all the time
Burly ass men, Hair covers their back
That’s awfully close to a caveman,
You must concede that

We evolved from the land, we sprang from this Earth.
Then progressed from primal man Does that lower your worth?

Let that sink in

From the earth we began, born from this land
Then to come it will never fail
To the earth we end, back to dust again
Blown far from mighty gales

So covet your time here,
We are just advanced mammals.
On the Border line of divine,
So blessed be, you animals.
