mommas goin to be a race car driver

ok here's the story. On may 5 my hubby held a race in temple texas. Things went great. Towards the end of the day one of the guys that was at the event had to shut his car down due to a water leak. Well he was so pumped from makin a few passes with his car that he didnt want to watch.
so he cranked up his dodge and was ready to race.
See this is where i opened my mouth and told him i would race him. I was jokin but the hubby said u talked the talk ur walkin the walk. I freak out about now tryin to come up with reasons why i cant race, doesnt fly.
Dave unhitches the truck from the trailer and im off to tech. Got the ok and im lined up next to Mike. Hands sweatin and legs shakin.
I do my burn out yes i pulled it off. pull up to the lights and one stage then two and the tree is on and im gone....wooooohoooooo.
I end up racin three times and let me tell you it was a rush like nothin i ever felt. I LOVED IT AND WANTED MORE!!!
How did i do well i won two and lost one. So what if the two i won were due to the other guy red lightin, he a win is a win.
Well after that i talked to dave and told him that i really wanted to race. He is all for it. He has located me a vega not sure of the year said may be a 70 to a 73. It has a cage in it allready and the bodies not great but hey nothin a little bondo cant fix.
If things go right i will have a race car ready by the end of the year.
Im so excited about it. This is something ive talked about doin just never thought i would. Goin to be a crazy thing me and dave with vegas Austin racin in two years with his camaro and trey still workin on a dragster. Haley cant seem to make her mind up.
