sometimes you go home and someone is missing
and home doesn't look or feel like home anymore
and you realize that home shouldn't feel so empty
or dark
or lonely
and you know that there is a world full of options out there
and perhaps right now sleep is your best bet
but all you really want is to feel safe
and comfortable again
you just want to feel at home again
and you ache for it
involuntarily.
