In my efforts to get my blood pressure down a little, the natural way with diet and exercise I set out to up my intake of Omega-3, but to avoid Omega-6 and Omega-9. I'm trying to see if 6 months of fish oil, salmon, fortified milk and raw walnuts will have an effect. The Omega-6 and Omega-9 cause inflammation. Omega-3 counters inflammation. Good for protecting your heart, blood pressure, all that good stuff. As I found out, you can get a little too much and for me that's meant heart burn. I looked it up and I was getting about twice the daily recommended dose. I've found it's worth it to do a little internet research to find out that kind of stuff.
