Battle Poem
To Battle to arms to my arms
In my arms I hold this
Feeling so here and so yet I am here
Wish upon a star wonder where you are
Oh to catch a transport to your galaxy
Shift that this hearts orbit anew
Traverse this transverse plain to where you are
With this that come wash over me as a flood
Bring me down to the river, hold my hand as the waters rise
Continuum of this virtual amazement I know
Know that I would be amazed
Yet this titanic sunken ships souls so drawn to the depths...
Can it rise to find her? fight this fight beside her?
From this blackness inside, reaching out to the light
So much is left of me yet at times I feel so small
Bone wrenched body’s heart still beats
I hear her say “Come now again my sweet”
I hear her voice and am content to be this
Head heart heavy down in this spiral
I hear her call me to battle! To arms! To these arms!
Escher’s case of staring falls down into her eyes
I wish to be forever found within
