These scars around my heart hurt
and I know will never go away.
Time heals all wounds and I hope
that happens one day.
Memories haunt my mind yet
I seem to lose track of time.
Sometimes my brain won't stop,
it's like a never-ending clock.
Without anything to replace them
tears fall down my face.
One day the sun will glisen
across that one special place.
Until that day arrives and I
see it with my own eyes,
