in the early days of fubar everyone knew to come to me with any new ideas for features on the site... but lately, not many people have!
99% of everything we've ever done on the site was triggered by a member bringing it to our attention... so lets keep that tradition alive!
so, feel free to lay any ideas for features or for enhancements on me, here, in this blog. you can also private message me if you're shy or don't want anyone else to know! :-)
please no tech support questions or bitching about policies, you'll be donkey punched. thanks!

Great ideas folks! Let me comment on a couple of the most requested ones:
--Mass commenting for all your friends--
sorry, the comment system is already 'cheapened' enough by people who just keep going through and cut&paste the same glitter tags on everyones profile. i'm not doing anything to facilitate that... in fact, i've been tempted to add some things to bring value back to our member comments. ;)
--Multi-deleting private messages from folder--
done.
--Search by distance/zipcode--
done.
--Improved general search--
this is also on the agenda as well, integrating the google search was just the quick first step to get it working again. sometime after the search by distance is turned back on, we'll start enhancing the general search functionality.
for the record though, i don't consider it that important myself.. because i hope people would be more interested in interacting with the people online rite now, and not search static profiles.... go back to myspace for that, hell they have a hundred million profiles or something stupid like that. :)
--Search by gender--
i'll be straight with you guys, personally i hate the idea-- i didn't want to create a dating website.... but since enough of you want it, we'll do it. keep in mind, it'll have to wait until we improve the general search feature... otherwise it won't be very useful. :)
--Private profiles--
done.

Few more common questions I'll answer:
--Remove the photo ripping feature
*never* upload anything to the internet that you don't want someone else to have. you can't stop someone from taking your photos.
--BulletinBoard filters or limits--
this one annoys me the most! you control the bulletins you see by the friends you have! if you don't like what people are posting, TELL THEM TO STOP OR REMOVE THEM FROM YOUR FRIENDS LIST!
--Keep blocked people from seeing my profile--
if you hadn't noticed it yet, everyones profiles are open to the world... meaning joe blow who isn't even logged in can see your profile if they know the url. since that's the case, what the hell good would it be to keep someone that you've blocked from seeing your profile?
update: since we enabled private profiles, blocked people can no longer see your profile.
--timestamps in the shoutbox--
done-- mouse over the name in your shoutbox and it'll display the timestamp.
