The World Through My Eyes
With the breath of my moral fiber
I just have to do what I feel is right
Nothing else really matters in life
Except for what’s truly important to you
You just have to find your way
No matter what it takes to get it
So what do you do when this
This moral fiber is ripped away from you
When nothing else matters to you in this universe
Maybe what’s important to you
Is making things right again
Taking all that miserable pain away
All this world really is
Too many broken dreams
Scattered about in broken pieces
But nothing really changes does it?
And it’s never anyone’s fault
Cuz we’re all stuck here
When all you see in people’s eyes is pain
What are you supposed to do?
Because you can’t change anything
You’re locked up in a cage
And viewing things from the outside
You see no plausible way of getting in
We’re all captivated by our own nightmares
We can’t ever escape them
We’re always searching for a reason
There is no definite path in life
You just take it as it comes
But you can never make it all better
Maybe there is no God to guide us
No Devil to mislead us
It’s just us, you, me, and everyone
There aren’t any guardian angels out there
Just people that fall through the holes in heaven
They’re just as lost as we are
You deal with it when it happens
You can’t change what already happened
You can’t forge the future
I burry myself into a hole
I can’t feel everyone’s pain down here
I just silently go to sleep
