The finest in death metal and black metal collide for the 2008 Summer Slaughter Tour. Spearheaded by The Black Dahlia Murder, this lineup is sure to satisfy the most discerning metal fans intent on having their eardrums shredded.
The Black Dahlia Murder produce a frenetic brand of death and black metal. Their harsh sledgehammer of sound has spanned three albums and countless driving, impassioned performances. As one of the more intense metal acts of the early 21st century, the band manages to infuse their scorching metal with blistering melody to provide a firm foundation for growling, raspy vocal sneers.
Intent on delivering the most punishing music ever to combine melody and power into one devastating force, this extremely heavy death metal band never ceases to interest. Canadian death metal’s masterminds Kataklysm employ fluidly shape-shifting strategies with a variety of speeds and riffs that provide a welcome sense of flow to their tracks while sidestepping boring and repetitive song structures.
